PRABHAT CHITRAKATHA - COMICS LIST COMBINED (#001 TO #300)

Dear Friends,

For many days  I have been trying my best to create a list of Prabhat Chitrakatha. But I have not much hope as it is not only a very old and closed publication, but also a long forgotten ones. I myself have mananged to list about 170+ comics, but after that I had no faith that it would come to such an exciting turn. All thanks goes to Saagar Rana for offering a lot of titles to add in the list, as now the first 300 titles are listed.

As it would be long list to provide in the webpage. I have created an EXCEL Worksheet. Download the file and do send me any correction or addition you have.

(Hope that the rest would be available soon)

Anupam,

Thanks much for gifting the list on the excel sheet. In an age where people steal and hide, the efforts put forth by fellow comics friends, you are so open hearted to have gifted what you possess, to those who aspire to know about them too.

Thanks to Sagar, and for Ajay too for helping to complete the initial list of 300.

Like a greedy comic lover, I am only hoping to see more :)

Rafiq - Thanks a lot brother for such a nice comment. Its comment like this which inspires the earthly being like me to share more.

And about the others you have mentioned, I really don't know why they steal or hide. I have always tried to share what I can, and have always mentioned the source of the comics or information. You are true that there are people who don't bother to give credit to the source, but FORTUNATELY THEY ARE VERY FEW.

Anyway, I too am very GREEDY, so too am waiting for the rest of the list coming

Prabhat - Thanks brother. It's been really a long time. I too read your conversation with the Ajay Sir on Indrajal Mega blog, where I found out that you really are very busy. That's why not asked you about the promotional progress like twitter, facebook etc.

But its not a problem, the blog is going slow but steady. Would wait when you will be free, so can give time to the ICE Project.

Best of luck and take care

Sagar - Thanks brother. There are your efforts too in the great database of Prabhat Comics.

I too was very sad as I too could not found anyone who is sincerely interested in Indian Comics and more than that to share the information on the comics. Even my past tries never met with good response, so I left them because I don't know why but there are VERY FEW people who really wants to know about our comics, rest don't really care other than reading the comic itself.

Thanks for being with me to the 'R' Zone. Its about 70%. If we can manage that much, it too would be out of the world.

REALLY HOPING FOR OTHERS TO JOIN THE PROJECT. AS NEXT MONTH FROM 5-25 I TOO WOULD BE VERY BUSY, AND PERHAPS COULD NOT POST ANYTHING.

About Doga - I believe it is PUNISHER. He is the man I found more nearer to Doga.

yes u are right PUNISHER IS THE ONE .!!
mr. jack kirby is known the father of the comic characters but he has put like "UNDER DOG" very n very few know about it coz he is always OVER shadow BY mr.STAN LEE.

Hey Anupam bro, surprised and happy to see that you managed to get the list of 300+ issues. Many Thanx to Sagar and Ajay too for their valuable contributions. Keep it up.

when ever i get time i will write some thing about comics.
in india mr . pran is well known he is the holder of lima record for lon running comic strip but he is well recognised for humour chatacters.
in india mr. parshuram sharma is only one person who created more than dozen comic characters he got very much good hold in action as well as humour but he is well known as novelist rather than comic writer. Now days owener of raj publications are saying NAGRAJ is totally their own creation.

characters created by parshuram sharma
1.raj comics;-NAGRAJ, BHERIYA
2.tulsi comics;-AANGARA, BAAZ, MR.INDIA
3.nutan chitra/comics;-DARA, MEGHDOOT
neelam chitra katha;-AMRIT,BANDARSINGH,TONDU BHONDU(HUMOUR) AND MR.X
chinu chita katha;-BLACK AGENT RAM SHYAM

Saagar - I myself am a great admirer of Parashram Sharmaji. He was the pioneer force for many of the comic publication, though have never achieved high profile recognition in comic world whereas his character have always remain to be the flagship titles of the publications.

Firstly start with Nagraj - Do I have to write anything about Nagraj's popularity or place in Raj Comics. Its the prime character around which Raj Comics publication most of the thing centered. Their Merchandise are sold with the name - 'Nagraj Novelties.

In Tulsi Comics - We have always seen the name 'Ved Prakash Sharma' and 'Rituraj' in the main cover of the comics, but never have we seen 'Parashuram Sharma' given credit in the cover page. Whereas in my view Angara was far better character than Jambu.

In Nutan, Meghdoot has always remained one of my favorite character.

in Cheenu Chitrakatha, I know only two characters - Ram-Shyam, and Dara the great, and they both are the creations of Mr. Sharma.

Having created so many different characters, he has never given due credit, but thankfully publishers have given him ample project to work on that we have hundreds of comics written by him.
